Raymond Hometown Hero Banner Program

The Village of Raymond is proud to honor the service and sacrifice of our local veterans through the Hometown Hero Banner Program. These banners provide a meaningful way for families to recognize military service members with ties to our community and celebrate their contributions to our nation.

Following the annual July 3 display, Hometown Hero Banners will be proudly displayed along 76th Street at the 6 Mile Road and 7 Mile Road roundabouts, creating a visible tribute to the men and women who have served.

Program Details

• Cost: $110 per banner
• Village-provided hardware included
• Banners feature a military photograph and service information
• Military photos will be professionally converted to black and white for a consistent appearance

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Raymond Hometown Hero Banner, the honored veteran must:

• Have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces, or as a Red Cross member who served in a military theater of operations
• Have lived in Raymond for at least 5 years (past or present residency)
• Have received an honorable discharge
• Provide a military photograph
• Provide a copy of a DD214 or other official documentation verifying military service and discharge status

The Hometown Hero Banner Program offers families an opportunity to publicly recognize the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of loved ones who served our country. These banners serve as a reminder of the individuals whose service helped protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
